Fausto serves as Center Director for the Kentucky SBDC in Lexington, where he partners with businesses and manufacturers that are preparing for major steps – expanding facilities, securing capital, and entering new markets. A Certified Global Business Professional through the National Association of Small Business International Trade Educators, with additional credentials from the SBA and World Trade Center Kentucky, Fausto helps businesses build global capability, enhance competitiveness, and scale with confidence. 

Fausto holds a Master’s degree in International Trade and Diplomacy from the Patterson School at the University of Kentucky and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia. Fausto is a past President of both the Lexington Forum and the Lexington Young Professionals Association. He is a graduate of the Leadership Lexington program. His passion for performance extends beyond the business world. Fausto served as President of the local BMW Car Club of America and competed with the Sports Car Club of America, earning podium finishes at the National Corvette Museum Motorsports Park and the Pittsburgh International Race Complex.

Tonya Parsons joined the SBDC Lexington team in 2020 and is a Certified Business Advisor with expertise in operations, project management, and entrepreneurship.  Prior to her role with the SBDC, she gained valuable experience supporting small business owners through personalized financial management and strategic guidance.  Her experience as a franchise owner adds a well-rounded perspective that helps clients grow and succeed.  Tonya has been recognized for her contributions to small business ownership and networking and is known as an energetic self-starter with a passion for adventure. She is deeply committed to empowering entrepreneurs and business owners at every stage of their journey.
 
Originally from Owensboro, KY, Tonya holds a degree in Mathematics from the University of Kentucky and has called Lexington home ever since.  In her free time, she volunteers with the UK Alumni Association and the UK Women & Philanthropy organization to help raise funds for scholarships.  She also enjoys spending time with friends and family – and cheering on the Cats!

Stuart comes to the SBDC to invest his more than 35 years of experience in small business marketing, communications, strategy, and leadership. He is a native of Perryville, Ky. (Boyle County) and a 1980 graduate of Western Kentucky University with a degree in Technical Illustration and Graphic Design. Stuart’s previous positions include: director of marketing – Advocate Communications, director of community relations – Ephraim McDowell Health, director of marketing and public relations – The Center for Rural Development, editor/publisher – News Journal, director of strategic marketing – Grassroots Marketing, principal strategist/marketing architect – Strategic Planning Specialists. He has been a nationally syndicated editorial cartoonist and is the author of 100+ Tactics & Tips to Increase Small Business Revenues. In his personal time, Stuart and his family enjoy camping, hiking, tennis, disc golf, music, and many other activities. Illustration, reading, writing, and playing drums are a few of his favorite personal hobbies.
